In Bangladesh, Jeeon will be on top of the list of being the pioneer of the telemedicine concept. When we were young, we learned that most of the people in Bangladesh live in the countryside. Although that’s debatable, Jeeon wants to reach out to an approximate of 30 crore people who are not getting proper healthcare treatment. Whoever is interested in reading case studies can read this article published in the Daily Star.  A 65-year-old living in Netrokona who couldn’t get proper treatment even after spending a thousand taka reached out to Jeeon, and through them, he came to Dhaka and got the treatment he needed, that too, within a small amount of money.

Jeeon’s stated that for many years when modern doctors could not reach village areas, these village doctors earned the confidence of the people. Deligram – startups of Dhaka

According to the founder of Deligram, Wayez Rahem, Deligram wants to be the Amazon of Bangladesh. Amazon is one of the world’s largest e-commerce marketplace. Comparing Deligram with them can be ridiculous to many people. But there’s a phrase that goes like “people are as big as their dream!” The start-up company, which started in January 2017 and reached the consumer level by March of 2016, wants Amazon in America and Ali Express in China to show what it has done in Bangladesh. Deligram chose a completely different business model.

Reaching out to people with their products on their doorsteps can be quite challenging. That’s why, instead of just delivering products, they are focusing on what a mass number of people are already into! ‘Mudir dokan’ – in English, grocery shop. By doing so, both parties are being profited. On the other hand, a certain number of products can be displayed in a shop, but there is no limit on the online marketplace like the Deligram. This is how this startup is moving forward. Maybe they will start operating outside of Dhaka soon, too.
