Bir Chattala in Chattogram undoubtedly serves amazing food (খাবার), but what it’s famous for is its ambiance, which in this case falls under ‘টাবার’. The interior of the restaurant is unlike any other in Chattogram. Anybody who enjoyed the 90s would be taken back to those days when they set foot inside Bir Chattala.
Everything inside Bir Chattala has an antique feel to it; the cassette players from old days, cassette tapes, albums, antique mirrors, spice racks, tables, chairs, and even the hand washing basin. And they’ve a grand menu filled with the best of our traditional cuisine to match. Starting from Biriyani, Pulao, Korma, Roast, Borhani to Steamed Rice, Lentils, Duck Curry, Chicken Curry, Rui, Hilsha, Bombay Duck, Bir Chattala has everything. They also serve bhortas and bhajis made with many different ingredients, such as Tomato, Eggplant, Okra, Spinach, and various fishes. MEJJAINI BARI
You can’t speak about Chattogram cuisine without speaking of the Mezban. And if you’re looking to have a taste of the famed Mezbani Beef, countless Chattogram restaurants serve the item. Today, we will be talking about Mejjaini Bari. You will get a feel of Chattogram’s renowned Mezbani festivities in the restaurant. You will get to taste every dish that is part of a Mezban, including Mezbani Beef, Chanar Dal (Chickpea), Kala Bhuna, Beef Shank, Akhni Biriyani, and Borhani. Plus they also serve Roti, Bhuna Khichuri, Steamed Rice, Salad, and Mixed Vegetables. Situated nearby the Zilla Shilpakala Academy is a fantastic restaurant named Beverly Island. They serve the best of Bangladeshi cuisine, keeping in line with their tagline ‘Native Food Cooked With Native Methods (দেশী উনুনে দেশী খাবার)’. You will find various kebabs, naan, and dishes for breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. The restaurant combines a fantastic interior with outdoor seating arrangements on the roof, where you will find a barbecue station serving up fish bbq and kababs. You can spend a wonderful evening on the rooftop terrace of the restaurant with your loved ones, eating your kebab and sipping on your juice, sitting under a tree and watching the sunset.
7 DAYZ
Every foodie in this country has one item in their list of favorite dishes; Biriyani. And the restaurant most famous for its biriyani in Chattogram is 7 Dayz. Biriyani lovers flock the restaurant in hordes just to get a taste of their favorite dish. Many people also order their food through multiple food delivery apps. You can have their famous Mezbani Beef Akhni and Chicken Biriyani without much worry about the pricing at the restaurant, which is situated near no. 2 Gate.
HAKKA CHATGA
Food courts have become popular in Dhaka, where several different chain restaurants share a common space for serving customers. It’s a win-win for both customers and restaurants.
