Like many other developed countries (whose economies are largely dependent on the real estate market), Bangladesh’s real estate sector also has the potential to turn the direction of the economy around. But the lack of a unified structure within the system has made the process of dealing with property really challenging for people. At Bproperty, the country’s leading real estate solutions provider, we realized this problem and are trying to provide all kinds of property-related services to people. And as a continuation of expanding our world-class services across the country, Bproperty opened its door to the people of Chattogram last year, which was previously limited to Dhaka and its nearby areas. That being said, Bproperty just completed its first year run in Chattogram successfully. Let’s look back and see how the first year of Bproperty in Chattogram went.
First days
The first couple of days were challenging, albeit exciting for us. Chattogram is a large area with a lot of demand for plots, commercial, and residential properties and catering to the needs of thousands of people required a more organized setting. That is why we started our journey in Chattogram with a wonderful two and a half thousand square feet office in the Khulshi area.
Having said that, from our assortment of property-related services to property transactions we offer everything in one place. In total, there were 50 people providing all sorts of services to our honorable clients and people. Over time as our business grew, the number of employees also increased to handle the overall workload. Now we are a bit more experienced, a bit more confident, and very optimistic about the future that we are creating.
Our projects
Our main goal is to make property-related services easily accessible to people. To that end, not only are we helping people find their desired plots, flats, and apartments, we are also helping them market their property for renting and selling. AirBell Development Technologies Ltd. is a company whose projects we market in Chattogram. Airbell Helianthus, AirBell MF Tower, AirBell Pool View, and AirBell Swapna Chaya are four of their projects we promoted.
Response from the people
Now let’s talk about the response that we have received over the first year of Bproperty in Chattogram. For that, we will discuss three aspects of growth in terms of property listings, incoming property requests, and property transactions through data. In the first month, November 2019, we had a total of 2248 property listings (up both for rent and sale) added to our database (both residential and commercial property). The number of listings since then only kept growing. In July 2020, which was the 9th month for Bproperty in Chattogram, the total number of listings increased by 45.11% compared to the first month.
We made great progress in lead generation as well. In November, 2019, the total number of leads added was 116 (both residential and commercial) which by the end of October 2020 was 831, meaning a 616.38% increase in lead generation in the span of only a year. This overwhelming growth in incoming property requests also translated into property transactions. As a result, the total number of property transactions increased by 144.44% within just one year.
Overall, Bproperty had a successful year through and through. And based on the numbers that we are seeing for Chattogram, we are more excited than ever.

Events and Activities
Due to the imposition of lockdown restrictions, it was not possible to organize any outdoor events since almost the beginning of 2020. As a result, there were no notable events and activities all through the first year of Bproperty in Chattogram but the year remained active. We managed to provide off site branding for all four AirBell projects. Chattogram REHAB fair, held in February 2020, was another event that was carried out successfully with an overwhelming presence of customers at our stall. People kept coming with their queries for discussion with our experts. We also made our presence more visible to the public through our office branding and print media.
How the future is looking
Bproperty is evolving at a rapid pace. Adding new services every now and then to cater to the needs of our customers as well as expand our reach. Our upcoming interior solution service is one such example through which we are aiming to serve interior related services to our customers at every budget requirement.
PayRent is another endeavor to solve the issues that come when renting a house. In short, through PayRent we are aiming to give you more time by simplifying the rental payment and collection processes. For example, if you have multiple properties that you rent out, you don’t have to spend any time collecting rent manually every month. The process can be done digitally using our PayRent portal without any hassle.
So considering all the initiatives that we have taken, the future’s looking bright for Bproperty in Chattogram along with other areas where we have our operations.
Considering all the things that we went through or are going through, the first year of Bproperty in Chattogram was great. Against all odds, Bproperty keeps growing and becoming more popular as it gains more trust from people. Now, all there is left for us to see is what other ways we can evolve and improve to give even better services to our customers.
