As a foodie nation, we Bangladeshis enjoy a good buffet. And if you enjoy eating, or if you have the appetite to eat a lot, buffets are there to satiate your hunger. You will find many great buffet restaurants in Dhaka. However, a great buffet that fits your budget is quite hard to find. So keeping the demand in mind, in the last few years, more and more restaurants are offering great value for money buffet deals to their customers. So in today’s blog we are listing down some of the most affordable buffet restaurants in Dhaka.

Buffet Stories

Dhanmondi being the ultimate food heaven of Dhaka, the first budget buffet restaurant on our list had to be from Dhanmondi. The Buffet Stories, with locations in Dhanmondi 2 and Mirpur 11, provide excellent value for money. It’s a Tk 600 buffet with 65 items that includes VAT and all other taxes. This is easily the one of the most affordable buffet restaurants in Dhaka. What’s even better is that they give you endless water as well as a soft drink of your choosing. You’ll find a wide variety of dishes ranging from Deshi to Chinese, as well as a fantastic selection of desserts.

The beef rezala and the dishes from the live kebab station, which are brought right to your table, are two of the main attractions of the menu. We recommend calling ahead to reserve a spot, as the restaurant can get quite packed very quickly. Apart from the crowd and rush caused by the buffet’s low pricing, there are no significant disadvantages to the place or the cuisine. You can also book the venue for any personal or corporate event.

The Cafe Rio

If you are a buffet lover then Cafe Rio needs no introduction to you. With branches in Dhanmondi, Uttara, and Gulshan, this place has gained immense popularity since it started its journey back in 2016. Offering a vast variety of over 114+ items on the menu, their Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, Daal Makhani and Crab BBQ are some of the hot favorites of regular customers.

And while you are there, don’t miss out on their specialty sauces like Cocktail Sauce, Tofa Sauce and Mint Sauce. They have something special for traditional food lovers as well. Mach bhorta, Chingri bhorta, Kacha kola bhorta will satisfy your desi food cravings. And when it comes to the pricing, it may vary depending on which branch you are visiting. The price of their buffet lunch in Gulshan branch is TK 950 including VAT and all other taxes. And you will have to pay TK 690 if you visit their Uttara branch in sector 7. In their defense, the Gulshan branch has a lot more items compared to the Uttara branch. Which justifies the price difference.

Spicy Ramna

If you are looking for the most affordable buffet restaurants in Dhaka then you can’t miss Spicy Ramna. Although this place has not yet gained popularity as one of the most affordable buffet restaurants in Dhaka, Spicy Ramna in Dhanmondi 10/A deserves a mention on our list. Their buffet has an Indian and salad section but what sets this buffet apart is their Morag Masallam. It’s full of flavor and goes amazingly well with some crispy luchis. Buffets generally tend to give you dry items that force you to order water, which does not come with the buffet and costs extra, but here you get a bottle of water and a soft drink of your choice.

We can’t help but wholeheartedly recommend the buffet here because of the value for money at Tk 800 due to the variety of dishes and, of course, the Morag Masallam.

The Premium Lounge

Located in Mirpur, The Premium Lounge is one of the hot spots for a nice buffet lunch or dinner with your loved ones in the area. With over 65+ items for lunch and 75+ items for dinner, the prices are surprisingly affordable. For their lunch buffet the price is set at TK 590 and for their dinner buffet you would have to pay TK 690 including all taxes and other charges. The buffet food menu is the usual – fried rice, biriyani, naan and a whole host of chicken and beef items.

But their desserts will steal the show. Red velvet cake, trifle pudding, chocolate eclairs, you wouldn’t have any complaints.

So what are your thoughts on our list? Have you tried the buffets in any of these places? Or would you have changed up our list and had another place in here? Let us know in the comment section below!
