The way of cleaning is different if it is latex paint and different if it is oil based paint. But whatever the type of paint, first of all you have to spread cloth or paper under the walls. Be sure to spread a cloth or towel on the floor before cleaning the walls. Otherwise, the water for cleaning the walls may spread to all the rooms. Better if you use a soap or detergent.
