Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) 2020

Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) will turn 25 next year. For the last 24 years, the country’s biggest international trade fair has been successfully organized by the Export Promotion Bureau together with the Ministry of Commerce of the Government of Bangladesh. Along with Bangladeshi companies, many companies across the globe routinely take part in this month-long trading fiesta. You will find all sorts of items there including electronics, cars, porcelain wares, machinery, carpets, toys, ceramics, fabrics, melamine wares, sanitary products, handicrafts, ready-made garments, home appliances and more. The entry fee for adults is BDT 30 and BDT 20 for minors. The fair provides a good opportunity to take friends and family out, enjoy music, have delicious food and indulge in an amazing shopping escapade.
New Year 2020 & Winter celebration Concert

Those who were craving for a decent winter event that includes concerts and live shows, this gathering can fulfill that need. The advertising firm Fame & Furor will be hosting an event to celebrate the new year and winter at Marriott Convention Center Dhanmondi. Bands like Abrovirus will grace the event along with popular singers like Mila and many bands. You will get evening snacks, goodie bags, and gifts with the registration. The ticket for the event is priced at BDT 1000.
Sakrain Fest 2020

This is one of the most famous and extravagant traditional festivals of Puran Dhaka. Shakrain, also known as the kite festival, is an annual event held at the end of Poush, the ninth month of the Bengali calendar (January 14 or 15 on the Gregorian calendar). This festival is also known as Poush Sankranti. On this day, kites are flown from the rooftop of buildings as a part of the celebration and at night, people from different aspects of life gather to celebrate.
Normally a series of fun activities are arranged as a part of the celebration. A group of flame-eaters gathers on the rooftop to show their skill of manipulating fire and people keep dancing with the rhythm of the music, while music overwhelms the entire area.
Poush Mela & Pitha Uthsob
