With Eid-Ul-Adha knocking at the door, everyone has already begun planning and preparing for the festival. But this year people may not plan and prepare the same way they are used to. Unlike last Eid-Ul-Adha, we can’t go out to celebrate the day with our family and loved ones, we won’t be able to invite our relatives to come over and they won’t be able to do the same. However, that brings us the opportunity to celebrate Eid-Ul-Adha in a unique way this year.

There is no substitute for proper planning this year to celebrate Eid-Ul-Adha exceptionally. From purchasing cattle to Qurbani, processing, and distributing the meat, there are a dozen things to worry about. Amid all these inconveniences let’s see how we can celebrate Eid differently this time.

Let this Eid be exceptional

Enjoying the delicious food is just one of the perks of Eid-Ul-Adha

Celebrating Eid-Ul-Adha with the family is always special. It gets even more exciting if you can involve yourself in the Eid preparations with the family. It gives you plenty of time to make the bond stronger and gives you the opportunity to share quality time together. However, if you want to celebrate Eid-Ul-Adha exceptionally and are up for a challenge, how about ‘chef swap”? If it is your mother and sister who do the cooking every Eid, why not you be the cook this year? Invite your brother and father to join along. Now if you don’t know how to cook and are concerned about a recipe, do not worry, we have an excellent article featuring beef recipes to try out during Eid-Ul-Adha. Go check that out! Then tag your friends on social media to do the challenge.

Also since this year, you should not let outsiders (e.g. butchers) come inside or around your living space, why not do the butchering yourself. It could be quite the experience. But be warned, as you have to deal with sharp tools, only involve adults and keep the kids away from the area at all costs.

Act on your morals

Let this Eid be the opportunity to exhibit your inner good

Just like the previous Eid, this Eid will also be packed with bittersweet experiences for COVID-19 induced reasons. Adding to that, the recent inundation just aggravated the entire situation, making families living in the Inundation areas deprived of Eid happiness. Make this Eid exceptional by acting on your morals; now is the time to reflect upon the significance of Eid-Ul-Adha. Involve yourself in charity works, give zakah, and help the underprivileged. If you are affluent enough, send help through different non-profit organizations. Celebrate Eid-Ul-Adha exceptionally by exhibiting your inner good.

Let’s talk about the obvious

Be careful about visiting cattle markets

Eid-Ul-Adha is all about scouting for the perfect cattle for you to purchase for sacrifice. This year despite all the risks, people will visit cattle markets. Scouting for cattle during Eid-Ul-Adha is a tradition that has been going on for ages. And as it is seen in most cases, elders of the family are usually the ones responsible for the task. Try to keep them at home and don’t just let them go out this year. There are lots of places to buy cattle this Eid other than traditional cattle markets. Use the help of those options and take proper safety measures. Besides, you can reduce your hassle to half by taking “Full Qurbani Services” online.

About the upkeep

Prepare your kitchen for the hassle

During Eid, it is almost impossible to keep the house neat and clean; especially the kitchen. Because during every Eid, it seems like a storm has just passed over it! From dividing and processing the meat to packaging and keeping it in the fridge, the kitchen is where most of the work gets done. But don’t worry, we have an outstanding article on how to clean a kitchen properly. Follow the instructions and you should be able to do it with ease.

Eid brings joy and happiness to people’s lives. And sometimes for some unavoidable reasons, it becomes a little challenging to celebrate the way we do each year. But that doesn’t necessarily mean, you have to miss out on everything. In a situation like this, you just need a unique perspective to enjoy every bit of everything. May this Eid be just as good for you and your family.
