The southeastern side of the area is the diplomatic zone and dotted with foreign embassies. Located on the northwestern side, Baridhara DOHS, on the other hand, is purely for residential purposes. From roads and residential buildings to the establishments, everything inside these areas is meticulously planned and developed without violating any regulations and safety code. Both parts of Baridhara have top-notch security and boast a healthy lifestyle. Also, there is no shortage of healthcare facilities and educational institutions in the neighborhood. 

Thanks to the well-constructed roads, the connectivity between the neighboring areas as well as with the rest of the city is also very smooth. Apart from the high-way that edged the area, all of the other roads that connected the entire area are wide and two-laned, which makes commuting from point A to point B easy. Baridhara is also a short distance away from the other commercial zones like Gulshan and Banani. Being one of the most serene suburban areas of Dhaka, Uttara was originally planned as a residential area but that could not hold on to that for long. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the area has started booming with commercial and residential activity. And slowly became one most beautifully planned neighborhoods of Dhaka. Along with commercial and business establishments, the area also houses some important government institutions as well.

The entirety of Uttara is very well-planned and maintains a perfect balance between residential and commercial facilities.  In other words, Uttara is the new emerging posh area of Dhaka. The area of Uttara is divided into sections and each section is planned similarly with every facility and amenity. There are multiple parks and recreation centers in the neighborhood to boost a healthy lifestyle. There are modern shopping malls, savory restaurants, great healthcare facilities, and renowned educational institutions in Uttara. Also, the roads of this area were well-constructed and maintain smooth connectivity between the rest of the city and among the other part of the area.

Bashundhara R/A

It is a private residential area developed by Bashundhara Group. The project started in the 1980s and since then, the area has undergone numerous development projects to make it more structured, developed, and connected to the rest of the city. In effect, the area has become one of the most well-thought-out and meticulously planned neighborhoods of Dhaka. This also translates to the fact that the roads, transportation, communication, establishments that connect the entire area with the other part of the city and announce its existence are also well planned and well maintained.

Bashundhara R/A is divided into blocks and has maintained a healthy balance between residential and commercial establishments. With proper sewage systems, the Bashundhara R/A is also very neat and tidy compared to the other areas of Dhaka. The area is huge and the development is still in progress. But there is no shortage of necessary amenities and facilities. Apart from all the housing facilities, the area also inhibits some of the city’s most important establishments including Apollo Hospital Dhaka and prominent educational institutions such as NSU and IUB. The roads are also well constructed compared to other areas and easily amongst the best roads in Dhaka. And there are plenty of public transportations carrying people in and out of the area every day.  Also, there are designated walkways for pedestrians on either side of the road.

The area houses some of the most eminent educational and healthcare facilities in the country. Also, there are enough religious institutions for the devotees of every religion, so people will not have any difficulty. Furthermore, to ensure a healthy lifestyle and organized living, the neighborhood of Banani hosts a number of beautiful parks and recreational centers. All of these make Banani one of the most well-thought-out and planned neighborhoods of Dhaka.

Banshee may not seem to be as developed as the rest of the areas mentioned so far but it is certainly amongst the most carefully planned neighborhoods of Dhaka. Banasree is extremely well-structured and organized into neat blocks. All the buildings and establishments in the area are relatively new compared to the other areas of Dhaka and feature moderns architecture and design. Banasree has a very active development society funded by the members of the neighborhood. Everything from its own waste disposal management and infrastructure development to safety and security of the area, this development society handles everything.

Furthermore, the roads and communication facilities inside Banasree are top-notch. The area also hosts numerous prominent educational institutions and medical institutions for better healthcare facilities. Since the area is well-connected to the other areas of the city, access to popular shopping centers and restaurants is a breeze. But despite all these, Banasree is amongst the most affordable place to live in Dhaka.

One of the main reasons why all these areas are well-developed is because of the involvement of the real estate developers as most houses inside these areas have been developed by real estate developers with proper regulation in place.

Apart from these, there are other areas in Dhaka including the Mirpur DOHS(Defense Officers Housing Society), Mohakhali DOHS, and Bonani DOHS that are also well planned and organized with structured housing plans and safety protocols. Dhanmondi is another area that is not as meticulously planned but turned out to be a pretty organized neighborhood.
